The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) and National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) are exploring opportunities to work together.
In a meeting held on Monday between SCCL and NMDC top management, discussions on possible opportunities took place.
SCCL is determined to enter critical minerals mining in view of the country’s evolving needs and it is in this context that Singareni CMD N Balaram said that the coal miner is ready to work together with NMDC. Balaram opined that a cooperation with NMDC, which has vast experience in mining critical minerals and other minerals abroad, would be of great help to SCCL, per an official release.
NMDC CMD Amitava Mukherjee said that NMDC is always ready to cooperate with Singareni.
According to the release, NMDC has said that it will explore the possibility of making Singareni a partner in the projects they will undertake in the coming days. NMDC will also seek Singareni’s cooperation if necessary in the coal block it has been awarded in Jharkhand.
